This whole “monthly box” things has really taken off, and I feel like there’s a box out there for everyone. So I took the three I get and did a giant unboxing video. I love the idea of boxes!
I have been contemplating getting one that delivers fun foods to your door in a box called Love with Food. Thank you for sharing what I will call a sample of what comes in the boxes. I love the birchbox one…I think I might try it and see what goodies I get. I have a question, do you let them know about any skin issues you may have? I have sensitive skin and am sometimes wary about products.
I’ve actually never seen what goes into these monthly boxes before! Did boxes begin as a sort of monthly sampler of different products? To give you a bunch of more niche/boutique items to try out that you wouldn’t normally find without specifically looking for them? That’s neato.
But I think you pointed out the other really great application: if you’re always traveling around (going to Cons, on business trips, vacations), these box products seem like great travel-size items to toss into your luggage. Actually, I’d much rather sign up for a “Travel Box” than head to a grocery store before each trip to pick up my travel-sized toiletries, etc.
It is like christmas!

Dudson, yes! I save a lot of my Birchbox products for when I travel and it makes traveling so much nicer since I’m using higher end products! I think you’d love the Birchbox Men’s box.
I loved seeing this – and coincidentally we got a flyer in the mail for a new one called NerdBlock – sounds similar to Loot Crate – but they include a shirt every month from Shirt Punch (Canadian version of TeeFury) – I think they might be Canadian based because of that… They’re in the same price range as Loot Crate. I’m still trying to convince my husband to do this – I think the main argument is what size t-shirt do we request – we don’t exactly wear the same shirt size, haha!
I just gotta know, where did you get that cool “Nerd” tshirt?
